The Scale House Market has several opportunities to support your local farmer and food entrepreneur. Our Indoor Scale House Mercantile is open Wednesday 8am-7pm Thursday 8am-7pm Friday 8am-4pm Saturday 8am-4pm Sunday 8am-4pm Our open-air, seasonal market runs May 31, 2025-October 31, 2025 Wednesdays from 3pm-7pm Fridays 3pm-8pm Saturdays 8am-2pm.
Do you accept EBT/SNAP?
Not quite yet! We’ll be happy to accept EBT and SNAP in the near future, this is a feature we’re currently working on. Be sure to check out our November is for Neighbors program for those in need during the holiday season.
Do you accept WIC/Senior FMNP Benefits?
We are currently working through the application process to offer these benefits and are expecting to be approved and ready to launch by Summer 2026.
Does your market do SNAP Market Match?
No, we are not participants in the SNAP Market Match program. However, we are piloting a Snap Produce Rewards program, reimbursing EBT/SNAP participants up to $50 a month when purchasing produce from a participating farmer. Each vendor that participates in this matching fund program will have this sign in their booth. Please see “Food Access at The Scale House Market” for more information on currencies and incentive programs.
Are there children’s activities at the market?
Yes, we are developing an enriching curriculum that will help children connect with the local environment, conservation, agriculture, and entrepreneurship! We also will have the Spokane County Library District on site many market days. Additionally, stay connected with our “events” page to sign up for Kids in the Kitchen classes and events!
Do you allow pets?
While we all love our animals, please note that only trained service animals are permitted at this location. The Quarry is home to a variety of local wildlife—including marmots, birds of prey, and other sensitive species—and we aim to protect this natural environment. We also host food-focused events and share our campus with a preschool, making safety a top priority for everyone involved. For the well-being of all—wildlife, guests, children, and your furry companions—please ensure that pets, comfort animals, and emotional support animals remain at home.
