☕ Our Story
Founded in 2009 by Bobby Enslow in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood, Indaba Coffee was conceived as more than just a café—it was envisioned as a welcoming hub for community connection. Inspired by his global travels and a desire to uplift those often overlooked, Bobby moved into the area and started Indaba with a simple mission: “a place where everyone feels welcome… and then, of course, really, really good coffee.” 
🌱 What We Believe
At Indaba (named after the South African word for “gathering”), we bring people together over ethically sourced, expertly roasted coffee. Respect, inclusivity, and quality guide every decision—from beans to brew. Our growth over the years (including roasting capabilities starting in 2014 and a second location in 2015) reflects our conviction that people and community matter most .
🌍 Ethical Sourcing & Roasting
We team up with cooperatives who cultivate coffee with care and purpose. Winner of multiple Golden Bean awards, our Rwanda FTO and Colombian reserve coffees support women-led, organic, and fair-trade practices—and two meals are donated for every bag sold through Second Harvest. 
📍 Our Locations
West Broadway (original site): A cozy, inclusive spot where locals, students, and council members alike find connection over coffee. Open daily, 6 am–6 pm.

Downtown & Monroe Roastery: Expanded to serve more of Spokane—complete with roasting space and café seating—continuing our mission of access and inclusion.

We host barista certification, latte‑art, and mini barista classes, guided by our passion for sharing coffee craft and culture with the community.
